Thank You Pike County!

I would like to personally thank everyone that worked and voted to make this happen for Pike County. As I have told many of you, although I previously had no particular desires to take on this responsibility, I saw a need and a window of opportunity for Pike County to set in place some guidance that will reap benefits for years and possibly generations to come. If we do not act now to gain control of the future of our County and our communities it will be increasingly difficult to do so as time goes by and circumstances arise to challenge our environment, our growth, our tax base and the quality of life here in Pike County.

We can work together to protect the identity and character of our County while supporting needed growth. We must set in place methods to lessen the burden on existing taxpayers as we maintain and improve the infrastructure necessary to provide services to the increasing number of residents.

Please share your thoughts, concerns and suggestions with your elected officials so we can make decisions in the best interest of our citizens. In return I pledge we will do our best to keep you informed and act responsibly as custodian of your hard earned tax dollars while providing the most effective and efficient level of services possible.

It is my desire to keep Pike County government open, honest and accountable to the citizens. I will start my term with that goal and ask that all departments and County offices share that responsibility.
